Borofone BR100 overview: who it is for and what it does

This speaker sits in our Bluetooth Speakers category. According to the listing, the Borofone BR100 uses Bluetooth 6.0 and a JL AC6965E chipset, with a speaker output of 10W (5W × 2), two 52mm drivers and a 1200mAh battery. Treat these as the maker’s listed values. They show what the speaker is built around, and they give you a clear starting point for comparing it with other speakers you are considering.

If speaker terms are new to you, read what a loudspeaker is before you compare models. Think first about where you will use the Borofone BR100: a bedroom, a study table, a balcony in the evening, or a bag for a trip. Each setting asks something different of a speaker, and the figures on this page are easier to judge once you know your own routine.

The Borofone BR100 suits people who want one speaker for several sources. The listing names Bluetooth, FM Radio, TF Card and USB Flash Drive playback, along with a TWS function that connects two units for stereo sound. That mix makes the Borofone BR100 a flexible choice for a room, a shared space or a short trip. If you mainly listen to one source, such as a phone over Bluetooth, the other modes are a useful extra rather than the main reason to buy.

Key features

Bluetooth 6.0 connection on the Borofone BR100

The listing gives the Bluetooth version as 6.0 and names the JL AC6965E chipset. The maker also lists a wireless range of approx. 10 meters. In practical terms, the listed range suggests the phone can stay in a bag or on a nearby table while the speaker plays. The listing does not describe how walls, furniture or other devices affect the connection, so test the link in the room where you plan to use the Borofone BR100 before you depend on it at a gathering. Keep your phone within the listed distance for the most stable playback the figures allow.

10W output from two 52mm drivers on the Borofone BR100

The maker lists the speaker output as 10W (5W × 2) and the driver size as 52mm × 2 for the Borofone BR100. These are the listed figures, and they describe the design rather than a loudness test. For a room, a small family gathering or quiet listening on a balcony, judge the sound at the volume you actually use. Start low, raise the volume gradually, and place the speaker on a stable surface. The listing does not give a loudness rating, so do not treat the output number as a guide to how loud the speaker will sound in a large hall.

1200mAh battery with playback up to 3 hours

The battery is listed as 1200mAh, with playback time of up to 3 hours. The listing also gives a charging time of around 2 hours. Actual playback depends on how loud you play and what you listen to, so read three hours as the maker’s upper figure. In Bangladesh, load-shedding can cut power at short notice, so charge the Borofone BR100 when mains power is available and keep it ready for an outage. Charge fully before first use.

Five playback modes on the Borofone BR100

For the Borofone BR100, the listing names five playback modes: Bluetooth, FM Radio, TF Card, USB Flash Drive and TWS. In practice, one speaker can play music from a paired phone, tune into FM stations, or play files from a TF card or USB flash drive. The TWS function is listed as a way to connect two units for stereo sound. If you plan stereo use, check that you own two units of the same model before you set up the pair, and follow the maker’s instructions for linking them. Matching each mode to your daily routine will help you decide which features you will use most.

Build and weight of the Borofone BR100

The listing gives the material as ABS Body and the weight as approx. 402g. Those two facts describe the build and the weight you will carry, which matters if you move the speaker every day. The listing does not describe finishes, grilles or mounting options, so look at the photos on this page and read the specifications table before you decide. For the Borofone BR100, a steady surface such as a desk or shelf is a practical place to start.

Specifications

The Borofone BR100 specifications below are taken from the product listing. Read each row as the value the maker lists, with units as written.

These are listed specifications from the product listing.

How to use / set up

Setting up the Borofone BR100 is straightforward. Start by charging fully before first use, then follow the maker’s instructions for each mode you plan to use. The listing gives a charging time of around 2 hours, so charge the unit before a trip or before an evening when power is unreliable. Keep the routine simple: note the time you charged it so you know when it is ready again.

For Bluetooth, switch on Bluetooth on your phone or laptop, then follow the maker’s instructions to pair the Borofone BR100. Keep the phone within the listed range of approx. 10 meters while you play music. If the connection drops, move the phone closer and check that the speaker is still switched on and paired.

For FM Radio, TF Card and USB Flash Drive playback, use the mode the maker’s instructions describe. Before you copy files for use with the Borofone BR100, check that they play on your own phone or computer, so you know they are readable. Keep the folder simple and label files clearly so you can find them quickly on the day. The listing does not say which file formats are supported, so ask us if you have a specific format in mind.

For TWS stereo, follow the maker’s instructions to link the two Borofone BR100 speakers. The listing says the TWS function connects two units for stereo sound, but it does not describe the steps. Place the two speakers at a comfortable distance from each other and from the listening position, and adjust the volume on each one until the balance sounds right to you.

Care is simple. The listing states the body is ABS, so wipe it with a dry or lightly damp cloth and keep it away from direct heat. Avoid leaving the Borofone BR100 in direct sun, including on a car dashboard in the afternoon.

Storage matters in Bangladesh’s humid months. Keep the Borofone BR100 in a dry cupboard or bag rather than on a damp windowsill, and let it come to room temperature after a hot journey before you charge it. If you will not use it for a few weeks, charge it before you put it away, then check the charge again before you need it.

For Dhaka commuters and students, a practical routine helps. Charge the speaker at night when power is steady, keep it in a bag with a soft cloth, and pair it with your phone before you leave the house. When you return, check the charge and wipe the surface. These habits take a minute and help the Borofone BR100 stay ready for the next use.

During load-shedding, plan around the battery rather than the mains. Keep the Borofone BR100 charged in the evening, and avoid starting a long session on a low charge. If you need music during an outage, the FM Radio mode is listed as one of the playback options, so you can switch sources without changing devices.

Compatibility and what is in the box

The listing confirms Bluetooth Version 6.0 and the playback modes named above for the Borofone BR100. It does not name supported phone models or operating systems, so check that your device supports Bluetooth before you order.

The listing does not confirm what is in the box. If you need a particular accessory or want the contents confirmed before you buy, ask us first on 09638054751, on Facebook Messenger, or at care@gadgetsuperb.com.

TWS pairing is listed for two Borofone BR100 speakers. The listing does not say whether a Borofone BR100 can pair with a speaker from another brand, so do not assume it will. If you want stereo sound, plan to own two units of the same model.

The listing names FM Radio as a playback mode but does not give a frequency range, so check that FM reception suits your location before you rely on the Borofone BR100 for a particular station.

Who should buy it in Bangladesh

Students in a shared Dhaka flat often want a speaker that sits on a desk and plays from a phone without a cable. The Borofone BR100 suits that use, with Bluetooth playback and a weight the listing gives as approx. 402g. It is a sensible choice for study breaks, background music and short sessions with friends.

Families in homes that face frequent load-shedding may find the FM Radio mode useful, since the listing names it among the playback modes. Pair that with the 1200mAh battery, which the listing gives as the capacity, and keep the Borofone BR100 charged when power is available so it is ready during an outage.

Commuters in Dhaka who carry a speaker in a bag on the bus or in a rickshaw should look at the listed weight and the wireless range of approx. 10 meters. Keep the phone close by in the same bag or pocket, and check the connection before you start playing music. The Borofone BR100 is designed around a portable use case, so it suits a daily bag, though you should check the weight against what you are comfortable carrying.

Event hosts planning a large gathering should not rely on this speaker alone. The listing gives a speaker output of 10W (5W × 2) but no loudness rating, so test the sound in your own room first. If you need more coverage, you can look at the TWS function for a second unit, or browse the other Bluetooth speakers in our range.

Buyers who only need a speaker for occasional background music may find the full feature set more than they need. Choose the Borofone BR100 by how you will actually use it, including the sources you play most, the rooms you use, and the distance from your phone, rather than by the list of modes alone.

Home users who cook or clean while listening may want a speaker they can move from room to room. The Borofone BR100 works with a paired phone within the listed wireless range of approx. 10 meters, and the listing does not say how walls or furniture affect that range. Its USB Flash Drive mode suits playlists stored on a drive.

For a short trip outside Dhaka, pack the Borofone BR100 with its charging routine in mind. The listing says playback runs up to 3 hours, so charge it fully before you leave and plan for a recharge on longer trips.

If you are buying a gift for a student or a relative who has no speaker, the Borofone BR100 offers Bluetooth, FM Radio and memory card playback, which gives several ways to listen. Confirm the delivery timing with us before you order, so it arrives when you need it.
